Philippine Normal University Visayas, together with the faculty and staff, conducted the 2nd Serveillance Visit 14001:2015 ISO Meeting at IMC2 on August 20, 2024.
Headed by campus officials, Dr. Ralger D. Jocson, Jr., Executive Director and Provost (EDP), Gliceria Arlyn G. Garancho, Dean for Academics and the Hub (DAH), Dr. Meah L. Gonzaga, Director for Finance Administration and Planning (DAFP), and Dr. Aragon A. Dechimo, Director for Research, Extension, Quality Assurance, and Development (REQAD), the Surveillance Visit aimed to examine the university’s compliance with constitutional rules and regulations and to identify challenges that require immediate resolution.
Followed by the Lead Auditor, Dr. Novalyn Geronia-Tolentino, presenting her findings from the one and a half-day audit on the PNUV Campus. She highlighted the minor risks and identified several opportunities for improvement in our institution. She advised that these observations should serve as a bridge for organizational development. She also congratulated PNUV faculty and staff for the continued certification of ISO 14001:2015.
On behalf of the faculty and staff, Dr. Ralger D. Jocson, Jr., Executive Director and Provost (EDP), pledged to take immediate and sustained action on the recommendations provided.
โThese audit results would serve as our guide for our future initiatives, leading us to become even more environmentally conscious,โ he said.
Dr. Jocson concluded the event with a powerful message: โTogether, we will turn these observations and insights into impactful actions. Ensuring that in the future we will be able to exceed the expectations set for ISO 14001:2015โ
The event was hosted by Professor Gerly Mae Garde, who also emphasized the importance of ISO Meeting and its significant impact on the university.
